The rocky ride
Late one sunny afternoon, down by the sea, there lived a girl called Mary and her pet elephant Henry. They decided to go for a ride in their boat, it was such a beautiful day so they invited some friends to come too. There was a giraffe, snake, deer, hippo and lion . The water was calm and the sun was shining therefore it was a perfect day to go for a ride in their boat. So off they went.
After a while they started to notice the weather changing. Dark clouds appeared and the waves became choppy. Before long, it started to rain. They thought about turning back but they thought it would be ok. The waves got bigger and the rain got heavier. Splash Splash on their heads and they all cuddled in together to keep warm . All of a sudden they felt a great big thud! The boat tilted over. They all screamed “ARRRRRG” They lost their balance and fell over.
Unfortunately, the boat had crashed into some sharp rocks. It made a big dent in the boat and some of their friends, deer and snake, fell out of the boat. They were splashing around in the choppy water, trying hard to keep their heads up.
Soon after, Mary and Henry tried to rescue them. They held out their hand and pulled them back into the boat to safety just in time.
“Mary, it's time to get out of the bath. Mary heard her mum calling from downstairs in the kitchen. Mary quickly started tidying away her bath toys. She collected up her toy boat and plastic bath toy animals. She put in giraffes, snakes, hippo. lion and elephant into a container and wondered what her next adventure would be in her bath tomorrow night.
